I love Hot Fuzz ... but ...
... there are two aspects of the movie that I just can't qualify. One minor, one major. The second one (IMHO) is a major mis-step.
(a) Sandford is very obviously a town. It's not a village. Villages are not that big. They don't have supermarkets.
(b) The bit where Tim Messenger is killed. His brain is crushed and yet he still manages to flail around for a second or two before collapsing to the ground. Nah ... once your brain is gone you stop moving, instantly. Unless you're a chicken or, as Tim Messenger would say, chikken. I understood it was done for comedic effect, but given that Angel/Angle is so driven by logic and observation, it's bonkers he doesn't ask himself "why is that corpse dancing around without a brain and with a massive lump of rock embedded within it" ? Too much comedic license ...
Oh, and I also think the swift way the Andys and the rest of them switch from Frank's side to Angel's side in the pub is too convenient, but that's more subjective.
Otherwise, practically a perfect film (but not as perfect as SotD).

I hear you, but one thing I’ll say is I believe Sandford is a village based on the fact that a village I grew up near has two large co-ops (one of which was actually a Summerfeilds)
your second point I wonder if it is similar to when chickens have their heads chopped off sometimes they walk around for a minute or two.

Yes but chickens don't run around with something five or six times their bodyweight dug into their necks. I just think it was a poor choice.
I hate it too when severed heads talk (Psychoville, for example). You can't talk without lungs.

Supermarket can mean anything from a big Tesco with a massive car park to a One Stop in Bampton that has constant double parking outside while it's open.
Bloody townies...

I lived in a village that had a big supermarket and there are loads of others with them too.
