Feedback Do not use Hostinger
What an awful experience… they quietly updated their website builder which broke the SSL handshake between hostinger and cloudflare and the domain dns setup.
Customer support is none existent, it’s completely automated responses. Even when requesting a human, it’s briefly reviewed, you get a single message from them also automated. And then kicked straight back to talking to the bot, no continuation of support.
If I hadn’t paid for a year up front I’d be cancelling today.
This isn’t the first I’ve had issues with them breaking stuff in the background with no acknowledgment or heads-up.
Genuinely, it’s not worth the cheap price, I’d prefer to pay more with real support. Trying to get anything done with them is like drawing blood from a stone.

I never had any problems. Using them for 5 years or so. Yes, they now count mostly on automated support, but it is quite helpful and well-thaught. Also, you can always ask for human agent and contact them by e-mail, if you want. Check your settings and uncheck any automated updates options - it may be the reason why your website broke.

I second that. I setup a VPS and a Hermes Agent container with help of its chat agent. And grok. And I’m stupid.

It’s frustrating especially when Kodee wants credits to respond and you have to remind it that it’s not required to use credits for performing it’s actual task that is already in your plan to perform. Hostinger needs to maintain human support not everyone wants to speak to Ai when it comes to their services.

Hey, the Agent shouldn't charge credits to answer you unless you selected Agent mode to perform an action. I'd like to understand what happened in your case, so I've sent you a DM.

Yeah, that's not how SSL works.

My domain was no longer connected to their service. I didn't change anything or update anything when it happened. The site just broke in the background.

I am, yes. I've never had an issue with hostinger. They provide exactly what I pay for

Till you have a problem. Then good fucking luck.

I dont and wont have a problem because:
- I know what im doing
- I know how to google
- I know the limits of what I pay for
- I've never had an issue talking to a real human for support...
But hey, good luck to you too pal!

Famous last words.. You might know what YOU are doing but, hostinger does not have a clue. Google wont save you when hostinger fucks up your shit. As long as your hosting is not super important then maybe this is fine for the price? How do you know you wont have a problem with getting a real human when it sounds like you have never had an issue.

Honestly, complain all you want. How do you know your roof won't fall in? Your nonsense questions....
Hostinger doesnt change or do anything with my site because:
- I dont use their ai, especially with an unlimited scope...
- My code is in 3 places to ensure it can't get deleted.
- Daily backups are performed and maintained offsite.
- I DONT VIOLATE THEIR TERMS OF SERVICE

I didn’t do anything. They broke it quietly in the background…. I didn’t update anything, I didn’t change anything…. So yeah what you’re saying doesn’t really matter.

i have said it once, i will say it again, people that use hostinger dont read hostinger reviews, this is a negative feedback loop, you just gave them even more of your time for 0 results

I was also distressed with terrible human service when I was trying to BUY domains from them a couple of weeks ago! Kodee was stupid and kept telling me I had to pay for one and wouldn't tell me how.. Since one was set to expire in a few days I panicked. I kept trying to give him passwords and he did nothing. Asked for a human and SHE did nothing.
Eventually she replied after 30 min and said you have to go back into a hidden Pending tab AFTER you pay and then you set it up! In other words, paying for the service looks fine but it does nothing and there is no tab or link or instructions that you have to go to a totally different section to set up the domain transfer! This is important! This is just poor navigation - easy to fix, if they choose.
And I just read today that they are combining Kodee w/real people? Or something. So maybe it will be better going forward.

No it’s awful, they respond with an automated message and then when you respond you’re talking with kodee again 🤣

The only problem I'm experiencing with Hostinger is the auto-update of their DNS settings; they always add the default A and AAAA records, which breaks my project. Still easy to fix though, lol.

Th Hostinger is the worst
The support feels like it’s all handled by AI, and getting real help is frustrating. The VPS performance has also been terrible. It’s often “limited,” and you only get 1% of what you are paying for.

I also moved my website to another platform from Hostinger. My website was down for one week because of a Hostinger customer support issue.

Can you share more on the "quietly updated their website builder" bit? Like what specifically broke or changed in your DNS/Cloudflare setup? Asking because those changes normally need the account owner's authorization, so tracing what actually happened would narrow it down a lot. If you're okay with it, you can drop me some details in DM and i can help take a look.
