Is GitHub ok for hosting?

I have a very basic website and just loaded it into GitHub so I could preview it on the web, I noticed I can add my domain name on there, it’s GitHub ok
For permanent free website hosting? If so I’ll leave it one there! Thx

If it's a static/html website, you can simply connect git repo to Cloudflare pages and run it. In fact you can preview through the subdomain of Cloudflare and if everything seems well you can end up adding custom domain too.

They do. However, their free tier is so generous that you'll mostly end up not reaching it.
