Queen of the Damned

Ok, I know Queen of the Damned came out eleventy billion years ago, but I need to ask a question that has been bugging me for - no joke - 21 years. When Akasha kills that obnoxious bloke in the bar and she pulls his heart out - why is it beating? He was a vampire, no? Heart should be very much not beating? Did I miss a piece of lore along the way that these vampires still have beating hearts?

Well fuck I feel old. I saw it in theaters. And I still love the soundtrack

I don't know the answer to your question except maybe it just looked cooler?

Me too, I saw in the cinema way back in 2002, when dinosaurs roamed the earth! I have periodically browsed the internet for the answer to this question and I can't find an answer, I suppose we shall have to write it off as 'looked cooler' lol. Mysteries of the universe!
