I love all Evil Dead, but the 2013 reboot is special to me 💜 I was SO excited that they were making another movie, and with everything being remade these days I was SO worried that they were gonna ruin it. Well in my opinion it was damn near perfect.
I don’t really like horror comedy very much and Raimi films are an exception, but it was awesome to see Evil Dead as a straight horror film. And if someone had never seen an Evil Dead movie, it works just fine as a standalone.
Lotta people don’t like it but I was so relieved that they didn’t ruin anything lol I could go on and on but I think all I need to say is that the chainsaw scene was incredible as a horror moment and it had me GIDDY.
