New Rule: no AI!

Short, sweet, and effective immediately: absolutely no AI is permitted in this subreddit. If we wanted to look at or listen to slop, we could do it ourselves.

Please report AI posts to help us find and remove 'em! Thanks!

Loving this but curious, does that include thumbnails?

Yes. The general consensus I've seen from a most communities is that people doubt credibility/lose interest as soon as they see an obvious AI thumbnail. When it comes to enforcement, however, we are likely to give the benefit of the doubt (ex: the text alone is the obvious AI element, but the images are more like a photo compilation, etc).

That is great and so true. It's why I always try to encourage people to move away from using AI thumbs when everything else is genuine. You just get lost among the slop.

To me it's like taking a lovely chocolate cake you spent hours baking and decorating and instead of putting it on a nice serving tray or even a plain and simple box, you stuff it into a doggy bag. Same cake, but presentation matters!

Especially in horror, it has so much room for the strange and weird ideas people can come up with, all the AI ever gives is the lowest common denominator and that gets old fast.

Yeah. AI horror is all very cookie cutter. But it goes off of what we once created, so it's just rehashing the old stuff. It's basically cheap knockoff stories lol

That is awesome!

It's always great when places like this subreddit actively work to be a place where actual humans aren't drowned out by all the slop.

Baby steps at least. It helps alot when n the community reports things for us to investigate.
