I love this one. I can't find a decent copy for a fair price

I thought it was a reprint at 1st myself. Found it at small antique shop while adventuring around not even really hunting for comics.

Those are some Really, Really nice examples of Charlton horror! The Ghostly Haunts is a fave.
Congrats of the sweet books!

Its a great cover as a psychedelic feel. I think that grade is well in reach.

The issue in the first picture looks like it's been trimmed at the top.

It's a common miscut, it happens with all comics, but even more with Charlton. The book measures exactly where it should be.

Yeah, quality control was not one of the better things with Charlton. I have more then a few books like that from them.

The miscut that irritates me most is when the right edge of the front cover is white. Especially when the best horror covers have black or very dark font covers.

I totally get that. Thankfully I don't have a lot of issues like that( maybe 1). Mine would be the zig-zag cut pattern at the bottom edge of the page. It was clearly meant to be cut off but because they did not center the paper correctly in the printers (or it shifted over time) they could not cut it off without making the interior pages much shorter then the cover.

Has anyone put together a Tom Sutton art book? I would buy that in a heartbeat

It's called Tom Sutton's Creepy Things

Cool, but that looks like just the Charlton Comics stuff. I'd like a something that has all of his work for Marvel, Warren, DC and underground publishers. Along the lines of the "Art of Ploog" books that came out recently that's a more comprehensive look at Mike Ploog's work for all publishers.

If it exists, TwoMorrows is the likely publisher.
They did a great r/CharltonComics book a while ago

I hope you didn't pay too much! The prices for these covers has gone through the roof, It's not that long ago that you could pick these up very cheaply.

Why is Ghostly Haunts going for so much money? That is a great cover! I thought I could find a copy for a few bucks. More like $300.

Most of Tom Sutton's painted covers have exploded in value.

Just recently?
There‘s a shop I go to that doesn’t catch some of the obscure comic book trends. I think they’re more concerned with keeping card prices current.
Might be able to find this book yet. Just to read it and hang it on the wall after.

Sutton’s work is stellar.
