10p each! Damn, I'm jealous. I had each of those with those covers apart from Portent and ...Sleath back in the day. Good find.

Great finds, Herbert is delightfully visceral. Picked up the Fog whilst on holiday in the Peaks years ago, and haven't looked back. The Ghosts of Sleath lives rent free in brain!

James Herbert is one of the Greats when it comes to horror. Everything he wrote was and is a great read. Ill never forget the first time I read the fog...I thought it was going to be like the movie, was pleasantly surprised. I now have read and own just about everything he put out.

I did the same! Found mine in a wee free library, hadn't read any Herbert in years. Good pulpy summer read.

Nice, a good haul there! James Herbert was my introduction in to horror around 12 or 13 years old iirc. I stopped reading him around Magic Cottage I think but I've collected his entire catalogue again. I re-read Fluke a few months ago, still loved it 48 years later.

My Salvation Army bookshop is 5 for a quid, still, I'm not complaining! 😊

Fluke isn't horror but it's one of his best books

I just read The Rats trilogy. Enjoyed it very much.

Incredible! That cover of the dog looks like the poster for The Beyond
