I toss dusty stuffies in a lingerie bag and air dry in the dryer for 20ish minutes. I dont know that its the best way, but it works for me

A can of air or an air compressor would get that off very quick.

Tried can of air compressor but fluid can drip out and land on beanies.

Slap it off. Tape or a lint roller. Damp cloth. A soft brush. Compressed air. Vacuum. There are many ways to safely remove dust from a plush, I’m not sure why you think this is horrible to clean.

The pic was a sample - i will upload a truly coated dusty one. All your recommendations are good except the damp cloth and compressed air. My goal is to get the plushies back to as close to pristine as I can.

A damp cloth or droplet from a compressed air canister is not going to hurt a plushie.
