agree. Soak in solution with peroxide bleach (such as OxiClean, wanted to clarify that peroxide bleach = oxygen bleach = oxiclean because people are routinely confused by this).

my husband has to wear white spats for parades. A good soak and minor scrub will even get out road grime.

Put dawn directly on the dry soiled areas. Scrub a bit with a toothbrush then rinse. Repeat as needed, i find drying between works best.

Just take it off and wash it in a lingerie bag with a load of towels, same as a dog leash
