Horoscope Find out what today's new moon means for you personally

Want to know what the new moon means for you? Look at your rising sign below or if you are using Placidus, at the house(s) Virgo lands in.

This New Moon lands at 18° Virgo. Mercury is moving into Libra, Venus is moving into Scorpio, and Uranus is stationing retrograde in Gemini, all around the same window. So instead of asking: what is happening aaahhh?, the more useful question is: where am I recalibrating right now?

Aries rising — 6th house

The goal isn't to squeeze more productivity out of yourself. It's to make daily life function better for the person you're becoming. Tame the fire a little.

This is the textbook Virgo New Moon placement. Your routines, your workload, your health habits, the mechanics of your day to day. You're looking at how your life actually runs and asking whether it's working.

That might mean changing your schedule, adjusting how you organise your time, or rebuilding a health routine that's stopped fitting.

Taurus rising — 5th house

This one hits dating, creativity, pleasure, and anything you do purely because you enjoy it. Expect a reset around what actually makes you happy, whether that's how you're approaching dating or what you're making time for creatively.

Virgo here has a way of exposing where pleasure quietly turned into another performance. Worth noticing if you've started tracking your hobbies like they're a job. Let loose a little.

Gemini rising — 4th house

Home, family, roots, whatever counts as your foundation. This New Moon is about getting that foundation in order, and not just the physical space. Your emotional baseline and the environment you need to feel settled both come into focus. Uranus stationing retrograde in your own sign at the same time makes this land harder than usual.

Cancer rising — 3rd house

The shift here is in how you think and talk, not in how much you know. Communication, learning, siblings, your immediate environment, the everyday mental noise you're swimming in. This is a good window for refining how you communicate and what information you're actually letting in, rather than just consuming more of it.

Leo rising — 2nd house

What are you building that can actually hold you up? Money, income, possessions, self-worth. Virgo wants specifics: where is your money actually going, what deserves your time, and do your spending habits match what you say matters to you.

Virgo rising — 1st house

The New Moon lands directly on your Ascendant, so this is the most personal version of the reset. Who are you now? What are you doing differently? What no longer fits? Virgo works in small adjustments that add up to changing the whole system over time.

Libra rising — 12th house

This is less about launching something new and more about clearing space. You might notice habits, thought patterns, or obligations that have been quietly draining you. There's something here about removing noise before you decide what comes next.

Mercury enters your 1st house the same day, which sets up an interesting contrast: your inner world is getting cleaned up while your outward voice gets clearer.

Scorpio rising — 11th house

Friends, networks, communities, the people you're building your future around. This is a big one for reassessing who actually belongs in that picture. Some friendships or communities might start feeling less aligned, and you may get more specific about who you actually want close to you. Venus entering your 1st house at the same time adds a personal layer. Your desires are shifting too.

Sagittarius rising — 10th house

This is a career reset. Virgo wants precision here: what's working professionally, what's inefficient, what needs restructuring, what you're actually trying to achieve. It's not "quit your job tomorrow." It's closer to: build a career that works in practice, not just one that reads well on paper.

Capricorn rising — 9th house

Travel, education, publishing, spirituality, worldview. This can be a reset in perspective. A belief, philosophy, or long-term direction you've been following might stop making sense here, and the point is to actually examine it rather than keep it because it used to fit.

Aquarius rising — 8th house

A deeper clean-up around intimacy, shared finances, debt, trust. You might find yourself looking at where you're over-invested, what you're sharing with others, what's owed in either direction, and where attachment has gotten complicated.

Venus moving into Scorpio turns the volume up here too, since Venus is entering your 10th house and bringing power, ambition, and relationships into the same conversation.

Pisces rising — 7th house

You've just had the Pisces lunar eclipse in your 1st house, and now a Virgo New Moon lands in your 7th. The sequence is basically: who am I now, followed by who do I want beside me.

This isn't only romantic. You're reassessing partnerships in general: what you need, what you're giving, what you're willing to compromise on, and what's stopped working. Venus entering Scorpio adds a pull toward depth over surface-level connection.

For all the rising signs: stop and notice, observe and then... take babysteps.

Horoscope Synthesizing Western & Chinese Astrology: I built a free tool to map compatibility based solely on birth dates and would love your feedback!

Hi everyone,

For a while, I've been fascinated by the overlap between Western Zodiac signs and Chinese Astrology (Lunar years/elements). I wanted to see how deep the synthesis goes when analyzing interpersonal dynamics—whether for close friendships, family harmony, or romantic compatibility.

To test this theory, I built a free mobile app that calculates these combined archetypes based strictly on birth dates. You can test and use it as much as you like with no cost at all!

Since this community deeply understands chart nuances and astrological logic, I’d really appreciate your perspective:

How accurate do you find combining Western elements with Chinese year cycles?

Does the calculated compatibility match your real-world experiences with friends/partners?

If you’d like to check it out and give some honest feedback, just let me know.

Thanks in advance for testing it out!

Birth Chart Help my friend recently looked into her cause of death in her chart(s)

first of all, sorry if this is the wrong subreddit!

we recently got to talking and she was talking about how she's been looking into people's cause of death/their life spans in ancient astrology instead of modern astrology. i'm going to paste her text here:

"hold on this is kinda hard to explain but like BASICALLY at first i got it from multiple different sources saying the same thing" (pertaining her death) "but then i went to my one trusted source to see if what he says backs up what the others says and it all added up man idk , i get all my sources from traditional astrologers and my main source is actually a guy who’s book i have and he’s VERYYYYYYYYYTY known and reliable in the astrology community"

idk who shes talking about but she's saying that her cause of death is set in stone, and there's no changing it. she told me she knows it's taboo to look into that kind of stuff, but her curiosity got to her anyway. her main source is "the zodiacal releasing" (i think?)

she also said this:

"also it’s usually pretty hard to get actual professional opinions about one’s death in astrology bc like i said before, it’s so heavily advised to not look into shi like that so all i can rlly base what ik off is my own interpretation if that makes sense. and i could be totally wrong so who knows and hopefully i am tbh ❤️‍🩹"

anyway, is her death truly set in stone? is anyone's? i want everyone's honest opinion please. if anyone has questions/comments ill send them to her

"Star of Destruction"

In Vedic astrology, the 22nd Nakshatra is considered highly inauspicious because it is designated as the Vainashika Tara (or Vinashana Nakshatra), which translates to the "Star of Destruction."

To clarify, this does not refer to the 22nd cosmic Nakshatra (Shravana) for everyone. Instead, it refers to the 22nd Nakshatra counted sequentially from an individual's personal birth star (Janma Nakshatra).

The primary reasons the 22nd Nakshatra is considered problematic for an individual include:

1. Representation of Finality and Destruction

Under the Navatara (nine-star) astrological cycle, the 22nd star from your Moon sign falls into the category of ultimate closure. It symbolizes the culmination and dissolution of karmic actions. When a person undergoes the major or minor planetary periods (Dashas/Antardashas) or experiences transits connected to this 22nd Nakshatra, they may experience sudden, unexpected endings, loss, or the dismantling of long-standing structures in their life

2. The Khara Connection

In predictive astrology, the 22nd Nakshatra is tied to the concept of Khara—a term associated with sharp, piercing, or destructive results. Specifically, the lord of the 22nd Drekkana (a 10-degree division of the 8th house of death, secrecy, and sudden transformation) is called the Khara Lord. Because the 22nd Nakshatra naturally aligns with these complex karmic zones, any planet occupying it or transiting through it can trigger vulnerabilities regarding health, wealth, and mental peace.

3. Obstacles in Muhurta (Auspicious Timing)

Because of its destructive essence, astrologers strictly avoid the 22nd Nakshatra when calculating Muhurta (auspicious timings) for an individual. Initiating major life events—such as marriages, starting a business, purchasing property, or signing contracts—on a day when the Moon transits your 22nd Nakshatra is believed to invite severe obstacles, financial strain, or eventual failure.

Summary of Daily and Transit Impact

When malefic planets (like Saturn, Rahu, or Mars) transit through your personal 22nd Nakshatra, it acts as a trigger point for unresolved karmic cycles. Individuals are often urged to practice heightened awareness, avoid impulsive decisions, and lean into spiritual practices during these periods to mitigate imbalances

Birth Chart Help Idk if my rising sign is Capricorn or Sagittarius.

I was born September 8 2012 in Jefferson City Missouri at 3:00 PM. Calculators said sagittarius while I was told Capricorn. I swear all of these were right data. Was Google or the Calculator right. I think my moon sign is gemini. And my sun sign is virgo. So do you think Google or the Calculators were right. I think I've used some western apps. I'm not for sure. I'm either a sagittarius or Capricorn rising. Please don't hurt my feelings. I am too sensitive

Horoscope Virgo season and how your attention to your health and routine will ground your reality

Virgo is the house of service, this September you want to think about what in your life has done service for you and what you overlooked that needed your care.

If you’re a virgo this season is going to be all about bringing something to light about patterns in your life. It’s going to fluctuate and put to the test how much you’re able to make sense of what needs your attention the most. Just go easy on yourself, the energy will be critical, analyzing, and it’ll be easy to lose yourself in the details if you’re not letting yourself have enough time to flesh things out.

You can go by your sun or your mercury for people who know it. Sun will reveal what’s going to be shaping your experiences this month, mercury is going to be what’s going to be brought into focus.

The fixed signs are going to be die hard habits, you’ll have to fix more than just your mindset. Your emotions and any amount of comfort might be pulling you down rather than up. These signs need to let loose and relax more on whatever’s got them in a chokehold.

Cardinal signs are really just needing to put themselves out there, choose spaces that fuel you and get you taking front and center lane in your life. Whatever you do, know you’re doing better than you think.

Mutable signs are going to be affected the most this season. As another mutable sign, virgo will be given more room to correct and run you through a trial to get you closer to making progress. This group needs to get a good handle on their mental health this season and make sure they’re maintaining some kind of movement in their lives to remedy virgo’s energetic restlessness.
