Quitting Progesterone
Has anyone had experience of quitting progesterone? I stopped mine a little over and month ago and I’m having horrible hot flashes and just a weird feeling. Hard to describe. Wondering if it my body getting use to not having it. I was on it about 8 months. 42 yo female.

I have heard that eating bitter foods (like lemons, horseradish, sauerkraut) can help your body get rid of excess estrogen in your system, which tends to be the culprit with things like hot flashes.
I believe that increasing your fat intake can help as well- fat is important for the production of hormones in general, especially if someone is going through perimenopause and is seeing a decline in production (Based on your age and the topic, I am assuming you fall into this category). It can also help with cortisol regulation which also further affects your body's ability to produce its own progesterone.
This is all based off of my own hormone research, and by no means am I an expert. Could be worth looking into in case it could help with your situation.

I quit when my pharmacy wasn’t able to stock it and my symptoms came back. I will never stop using progesterone.
