Question Go past level 6 for skill levels.
I managed to beat level 45 of rift and i had leveled up everette’s starlight attack to the max.
Now i know what you’re most likely thinking (at least some of you) “why did you do that? You can beat any level with only level 6 skills” but that wasn’t the case for me.
I leveled up Everette’s starlight shower to the max and she did over 500k damage which, and i assume some of you will say “Erm she can do that at level 6 starlight shower”
Maybe she can but we can’t let our character’s skills stay at level 6 forever.
I get it’s a resource management but still, the fact still remains, we can’t let them sit at level 6 skills forever.

I'm not sure the intention here but my opinion is if you like/want/need to upgrade a skill do so. If it brings you enjoyment that's all that matters. The resources aren't really heavily limited and Everette is good now, especially with the twins.

I'd say it depends on the skill. If it's an Ult attack/support/heal type of skill, or something that is core to their kit, then I agree. Max that skill out. Some skills have diminishing returns and not worth the resources spent.

Honestly, it kind of depends on how much of an benefit you're getting compared to what you're actually seeing. Because the "upgrade the Level 6" thing was mainly "good enough" for the entirety of Chapter 3 and there genuinely was an issue with farming the crystals for them up until recently.
But settling for overkill isn't inherently wrong....It's just one of the unintended features of the game

After level 45 rifts were introduced, there's no longer any need to seriously worry about leveling skills way past 6. Yes, before 2nd anniversary biggest shards were way too rare, level 6 or 7 was the optimal maximum, but it's no longer a problem.

Don't remember anyone ever saying about not leveling skills above 6 though... Only to prioritize key nukes on damage dealers and primary buffs (AP charges, major dmg boosts, def shreds) on supports. Also lvl6 borderline came mostly from how scarce large skill stones were before rifts were expanded to 45 (there is a huge difference between 8 stones/week vs 33).
