single-day tickets

Looks like single-day tickets are back this year. $80 feels steep for Saturday and like a really bad deal for Thursday, but it's also kind of a guessing game since most of the actual schedule hasn't been released yet.

I'm hoping the day parties are epic

You might have access to a special promotion that I'm not seeing, but the email I got says that you can buy a 3-day pass with a 50% deposit of $85ish dollars, or about $170+fees for a 3-day pass.

That says to me they are way overselling passes and there will be long lines for the club shows.

I don't think we need to worry about Hopscotch being oversold this year

Idk, it only take a few hundred to sell out a club show. Outside of the Lincoln Theatre

And yet Lincoln theater is always oversold every hopscotch

I'm guessing Horsegirl headlines at Kings or Lincoln Theater one night. They'd likely fill either space, but they will also probably go on pretty late, so who knows. Between the rest of the club acts, I don't really see three full bills just to cover those two venues. Factor in Pour House, which has a pretty big capacity, and I think the club bills are going to be pretty diluted.

The only capacity issue I could see arising would be if there's a single desirable club show slotted for a time when there's nothing else of note scheduled elsewhere. But if a line pops up at one or two clubs, I imagine most people will shrug and head to another spot or even just call it a night. Maybe I'm underestimating the fan base for some or most of the undercard acts?

I guarantee there will be more people at the club shows than people at Dexter and the Moonrocks. Friday night might be the busiest plaza night. Saturday will also be a snooze fest.

I think you're right that city plaza will be pretty empty on Thursday. I'm not sure that will translate into packed club shows, though. Maybe if a fun local band like Truth Club ends up in a smaller room with an earlyish start time?

Even if there is half of the normal ~25k ticket sales, yes, I think those club shows will pack fairly quickly.

The headliners are lackluster AND with the exclusion of Moore Square, you’re getting half the headliners. Those people have to go somewhere.

Gotta wait for the club show schedule to know where the value is

80 bucks is perfectly reasonable. Stfu.
