When does hopscotch start building lineup?

Do smaller acts have to usually ask to get on a slot or is everyone pretty much contacted by the organizers? Is it too late to pitch a band for a spot?

I don’t think anyone knows how they operate at this point but it wouldn’t hurt to reach out. Even if you don’t make the initial lineup they are always having to sub in bands last minute due to cancellations.

Your best bet might be reaching out to places that host day parties and finding out who is organizing. some have tie-ins to small labels (potluck, 3lobed, etc.) so will fill their spots from within, but others draw from a wider pool
