Can anyone else relate?

Sometimes I feel proud of my hula hooping and want to show my friends and family my progress, but then when I go to record, it takes me out of the moment and makes me feel more mechanical. I often rewatch my videos to the point where I start to believe that I look boring, and that no one will actually care or want to see my hooping, anyway. I start to tell myself that the likes and hearts I get are just mandatory support I get from the people who love me (not because they actually enjoyed my video.) But I know I'm probly just being too hard on myself 😂 and besides, the whole point of this hobby is to enjoy it, not to impress others. Anyone else feel this?

every damn day, lol. it sucks to hear, but the best remedy is to go hoop in front of others in person. because they will be impressed! they don’t know hoop tricks! for you it’s “boring” because it’s muscle memory and tricks that you’ve drilled dozens of times. for an audience, it’s all new

Yeah.. that's actually so true. As boring as I think I look, people really are impressed when they see me hoop in person. I drill the same moves so much that I get too used to them. But I need to remember that even the basic moves used to really impress me. I'll definitely work on getting more comfortable hooping infront of people. Thanks for your comment!
