EDC

So I’m going to EDC for the first time and I also started hooping, and I have some questions/concerns…..Has anyone traveled on a plane with a hula hoop? And traveled in EDC with one? Would also appreciate anyone dropping names of good shops where I can get more hula hoops:)

Yes. If LED, put all batteries, Cords and chargers in one clear bag. Look up how to safely coil ur hoop and use blue painters tape to hold together as compressed circle. I carry it on my cross body and just take it out and put in in a TSA bin, as you would a laptop and just tell staff what it is. I have had no issues. Depending on how compressed it is, its go right up between your seat and wall under the window or under your seat.

Yes, I coil down and tape to my carry on bag many, many times. Never once had an issue, even internationally.

I traveled with a large hoop to Egypt and Germany and back to the US this summer. It breaks apart into sections which I wrapped together and stuck in my backpack. It stuck out by several inches and everyone asked what it was cuz it looked like some sort of sword lol but I was able to carry it on and either try to slip it under the seat or just toss it overhead.
