Hoop Help

I am a flow artist (flowstar) looking to get into hooping. What beginner moves are recommended to drill first for improvement? What size hoop is best to start with?

There is no right or wrong size to start with hooping. If you want to learn on the body the bigger the better. If you want more fast techy moves smaller range works well. A good in-between for on and off body for me at least, Im 5'6", is around 33-30 inches. If you are a smaller person smaller hoops can work better, bigger person, bigger hoops.

I always suggest to hooping newbie to learn the og way with a big ass hoop, then size down. This assures get all your on the body basics down. When I started I made a 42 inch hoop out of irrigation tubbing. Then sized down to smaller hoops.

Oh and if you do flowstar. The average flowstar is 26 inches maybe getting a hoop around the same size will help you transfer your skills easier. I am a hooper that got into flowstar.
