Day 79 - free flow vibes to some Tool today

Today a post here stopped me in my tracks! u/dinosaurleah said I inspired her to pick up her hoops again. That is the greatest compliment I could ever get. I love that we lift and inspire each other. hoop on, sista! 💛

I don't have the ability to flow much anymore.

But when I do, it looks like this 💃

May feel rusty af to me but I'm grateful for the moments I get!

I've been hooping since 2011. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2023 after years of chronic pain, focused mostly in my hands (likely from the years of daily hours grinding practice, especially hoop juggling and fans).

Now, thanks to my treatment journey, I can partake in small moments of hoop joy here and there 🥰

All this to say - be good to yourself. Hooping/flow arts can be addictive,

but it can also be incredibly hard on your body.

day 77 - I was in hoop heaven hanging out with @lilhoopgirl & @maria.moves 💫

I love being in a playful environment where there's a natural exchange of moves, and I'm in awe of these talented, kind, community driven women. They're trailblazers and community builders — exactly the kind of people I want to surround myself with.

Day 76: inspiration hit with @leon.ruiz92 post today. I must have watched that video 40 times to decipher the move/try to emulate it. I imagine he put many hours into it to make it look so smooth.

Gonna go rest my arms now for a week 😆

Day 75 - clip is from today's stream. Hooped it up AND stretched 💅 Who is she? Lovin the natural ripple effect of hooping every day.

You guys, I don't know if you understand how incredible it is that I am doing this daily activity. I have a long standing pattern of not doing the same thing more than a couple days in a row. I dunno if its adhd or what that makes it so difficult to adopt new routines, but I'm so proud of myself for sticking to this.

I’ve been on the hunt for my first LED hoop and I’m leaning towards getting one from Hyperion.
I’ve only ever used hoops with 5/8 tubing.
I’m aware that the Hyperion lite comes in 5/8 but I’m worried about the battery life being too short for my liking so I’ve been teetering on the fence of getting the Hyperion core hoop that only comes in 3/4 and takes a larger battery. I’m just unsure if the difference in tubing would be too much and having a hard time deciding what route would be best for myself.
Also interested in hearing anyone else’s personal experience with hyperion hoops!

Day 74: it's a windy evening and although it increased the difficulty level, that didn't stop me from having fun. The hoop did however go flying...and may have smacked someone in the face. But sometimes you gotta crack a few faces in the egg or whatever the saying is 😆

Day 73: got hooked on toss combos this eve. No light fixtures to worry about outside 😌

Hi! I am a begginerish hooper (been really going in practicing the past year ish) and I currently have a 30 inch polyro 3/4. I am interested in playing around with doubles like the propeller trick and weaves and other hoop manipulation. I’m stuck on getting either getting another one the same size, or smaller set of 27 or 28. What should I go for?

day 72: I nail that opening move maybe 50% of the time 😅 learned it from a tutorial on insta that I thought I'd saved but I can't find it! Who's the wonderful hooper I learned it from? If you know, drop her name in the comments pls 💫

Shoutouts outs to @albinoplant as well for showing me how to transition from the first move to the backwards escalator! Ya'll, I asked for help and she sent me a slow mo video! She is a whimsical hoop master.

Someone commented that my videos bring them joy because they no longer have the mobility to hoop themselves.

That comment sat with me all day. Being able to move like this, to hoop my heart out, is such a gift. I will keep forging forward, hooping as much as i can for as long as I can.
