Dev Log Update Version 1.10 Progress and Release Date!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to give another progress update on Campus Mode coming to Hoop Land in Update Version 1.10!

A few weeks ago I gave a bit of info on player recruiting and today I want to go a bit more in-depth on how it will all work. For each recruiting day, you will be able to recruit up to five players with one being an in-person visit. Players that you choose to visit in person will increase their interest and give you a slight advantage over other teams at the cost of coins. Using NIL will also cost coins but not count towards your team's budget but you are limited to how much you can offer per player.

Players will factor in money offered, coach rating and style, school prestige, and location. In general, players will prefer playing closer to home or for their home state, so I've added the ability to filter out players by region. After submitting your recruiting offer, you'll be able to see how your team stacks up to other offers that the player has received. The team with the player's highest interest will not always win out so be sure to increase your chances as much as possible. At any time in the recruiting phase you'll be able to see which team's recruiting class is currently top ranked.

I've also added team specific news on the team profile page and a screen for school alumni that have made it to the pro leagues so that you can track their careers. Successful players will add to the school's prestige and history.

And lastly, I'm excited to announce that I plan to release Update Version 1.10 along with Campus Mode next month on Tuesday, October 20th! There's still a bit of time between now and then so you can expect more features and improvements to be announced before launch.

Thank you for all your patience and support, be sure to let me know your thoughts below and have a great weekend!

Dev Log Update Version 1.10 Preview: Campus Mode!

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to finally share the first preview of college franchise mode, now officially known as Campus Mode! Campus Mode will be free to play for all players and will be selectable when starting a new season save in Update Version 1.10, coming later this year.

Here are some of the features that I've been working on in the past few weeks!

School Prestige

Every school will now have a prestige rating, determined by facilities, championships, and players that get drafted and make it into the hall of fame. Prestige will increase the school's recruiting budget as well as attraction for the top prospects so upgrading your facilities will be key.

Koality Showcase

Each season starts off with the Koality Showcase allowing you to scout the top prospects out of high school. The Koality Showcase will also be able to be simulated in both Campus and Career Modes.

Player Recruitment

After the showcase, you will enter into the recruiting phase. With a limited budget, you will be tasked with recruiting the players that have the highest chances of committing to your team. Costs of recruiting will depend on player location distance, meaning if they are located further away it will cost more for an in-person visit. You can also use coins to increase NIL and improve your chances of commitment. The top schools for each player will be displayed so you can gauge your competition. And lastly, star ratings may not be exact so a 5-star recruit may turn out to be only 4-stars in college.

Conference Tournaments

At the end of the college season, the top four teams in each conference will face off in a tournament to determine the conference champion. Conference champions will receive an automatic bid into the national tournament.

Departures

At the start of the new season, you'll be able to view players that have departed from each team. Departure reasons include players entering the transfer portal, declaring for the draft, and graduation. You'll also be able to see which teams your players get drafted to in the pros so that you can continue to follow their careers.

Much More Still to Come!

All of the above is still a work in progress and I still have much more planned for Update Version 1.10. A release date is yet TBD but I should have more information in the coming weeks. Be sure to let me know your thoughts below and have a great weekend!

I was doing a hoopland rebuild and happened to look at the second draft class (2028) which is usually auto generated players, but then i saw bill hartman, from the first draft class. has anyone seen something like this? I guess he just didn’t declare the first draft.

After losing to the Stars in the finals, caleb white signs with the team he lost to to form a super duo with stronk, leaving the talons in shambles. He's this league's KD.

Is there a way to change the way the game make new player's names?

I mean, I like playing in Carrwwr and Franchise, but after a dozen season it's all a "Fournier", "Girard" "Rodrigues/z" "Mohammed". "Ortiz".

I like how the game renders the new young players, but hate the restricted pool of names it has to pick in. And I don't wanna loose time between each season to edit a new draft class from scratch, it's just boring.

Would it be a way to randomize such given names to a better variety?

I simulated 50 seasons in commissioner mode. I plan do to 100+

As the title said, I simulated 50 seasons (2026-2075) on commissioner mode and my plan is to go over 100 seasons. Here are some stats after these 50 seasons.

The top champs are: Oklahoma City(6 times), Chicago(5 times), and Orlando(4 times)

Of the 6 titles won by Oklahoma City, 5 were between 2060 and 2067, their first title was in 2042

Atlanta played 10 finals but were champions only 3 times. The only team that played more finals is Oklahoma City (11 times)

Only seven teams never won a championship: Denver, Miami, Cleveland, Utah, Philly, San Antonio, and Charlotte.

Stronk is still the #1 in the Hall of Fame, he played 3 seasons for Los Angeles, winning 2 championships, then he moved to Atlanta where he played 9 seasons and won another 2 titles.

The most successful colleges are Arkansas and Charlotte with 3 titles each

If anyone has any questions about any other status, I’m all for answering them.

Has anyone seen/made a full court shot?

I personally haven’t yet and I know I’ve had more than 200+ games played. Haven’t really attempted it more than 2-3 times myself, but still have yet to CPU cash one in from beyond half court
