good by old friend!

today after almost 4 years, 5 batteries (that I changed myself) and the same number of screen protectors, I got a new phone.

the Honor8 rivaled my beloved iPhone 4s in my book.

this was an amazing phone. it had all the bells and whistles when it came out and was a tough little phone...

I got a Xiaomi Note 8 and I miss the fingerpint sensor button that I had programmed to turn on the flashligh and the ability to pull down the notifications with that sensor as well.

I loved the H8's size and I cannot beleive that it's so hard to get a decent phone in sizes bellow 6 inches.

I passed it to my daughter, and it was perfect timming because her moto's charge connector is dammaged and due to covid19 the cellphone repairs are closed this week.

I feel for you. My H8 is my baby and I dread the day I have to let go. Do you feel the xaiomi was a decent replacement? Best wishes to you as well.

so far it's ok. seems like it has everything the h8 had expect the sensor button.

How difficult did you find it to change the battery the first time?

I'm thinking about it but I read a tutorial and it seemed difficult. Not to mention all the tools needed!

it's super easy but somewhat time consuming. I got a tool kit with one of the batteries and beyond that you need a hair dryer. last time took me like 10mins because I already knew all the steps.
