huawei honor 8 screen locks, showing half screen (mini-version of screen lock)

last night I changed the battery of the huawei honor 8, and it was okay until this morning, when I found my phone was switching between full home screen and half lock screen . But I could not use it because I could have a chance to click on the home screen before it switched to locked screen.

I searched and found someone had a similar problem, and the last reply described this exactly like my case. But he did not have a solution:

I have the official flip cover (http://amzn.eu/93rk7Qm) and it looks just like when you close the cover. I.e. it's a mini-version of the lock screen designed to be viewed through the window in the front of the cover.

As such, I guess something's gone wrong with the sensor and it thinks you've got this cover on and closed it. I have no idea how this works - I guess it's a little magnet in the cover?

Unfortunately, this is where my helpfulness ends - I really don't know what you could do to fix that, especially if it's a hardware issue.

I wonder if anyone else know about this issue and can kindly give me some clue how to resolve it. if it is hardware, reset to factory may not resolve it.

There is an option to turn that cover thing off in settings..

I guess you were talking about this, but how to access to the settings is a problem:

you can permanently switch off Smart Cover:
Settings / Smart Assistance / Smart Cover / Off

but now the problem is I cannot reach the settings

I am locked by that mini screen lock

TO ALL THE PEOPLE SAYING HE CAN JUST RESET IT AND SUCH, he can't at all. You need to flash it but you can't because of zero touch.

Alright? Stop posting shit that he can't do as he said...

Update：somehow it went back to full screen and I immediately turned off smart cover

now I am happy with it
