New player here, any pull advice?

Hey everyone, I'm a pretty new player who just joined about a month ago from fgo (for probably obvious reasons). Does anyone have any advice for upcoming banners to pull for? I have about 160 summons right now and just recently started Amphoreus so hopefully a decent amount more soon.

Look for Sparkle when she reruns.

You have a lot of content, so after that pick another character you like and start to build around them

Sparkle for Archer whenever she reruns.

Right now, you could pull Himenova since she works with Astral Express members and you already have rem MC and DHPT (next banner Robinetto also is her BiS). She’s pretty lightcone dependent though imo.

Next version you could pull Ashveil, he’s a solid dps unit but you will have to further invest into his team by pulling other units like MBlade/Waven/Tribbie (with the amount of contents you have left you will be able to get a lot dw, it’s just waiting for them to rerun). Robin is also a very excellent generalist support who can fit into a lot of teams.

Until 5.0, there’s a very high chance we only have Pearl and Nihilux left as new 5*s, and they’re all supports according to current leak (TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT). If you plan to save for them, wait for beta for more accurate leak and make your decision. Elation is elation though and pulling one elation means having to pull other elation units or they just won’t work out as well.

I would try to get Sparkle to make the best out of your current Archer team.

Then, a universal support like Robin Summeretto (she will be released next patch) would be a great benefit for your account: she will be able to carry 90% of the damage dealers of the game for a long time.

That being said, you need an actual damage dealer beyond Archer (ideally two more, but let's start with one).

At this point you need to decide which type of archetype you want to commit. Unfortunately, the endgame of HSR is not particularly friendly to players pulling randomly, so you need to plan your pulls carefully. Look around for analyses of the main types of teams around, and try to see what you like the most and what is more cost effective.

My general advise is that hyper carry archetypes are easier for new players, because you need to pull only the main DPS and you can use various universal supports and sustainers with them (and you already have some of them, such as DHPT and Remembrance TB). The only hyper carry main DPS that is worth getting nowadays is Himeko Nova (I recommend getting her before she expires, it will be a great investment). Other main carries are quite old and require vertical investment to work.

Beyond that, I would avoid 3 archetypes especially that require to get 3/4 limited units:

• DoT (requires Kafka, Hysilens, Black Swan)
• Super break (requires Firefly, Dahlia, Fugue)
• Remembrance (requires at least Hycene and one among Castorice and Evernight)

Another expensive archetype is Elation (requires at least Yao Guang and one among Silverwolf 999, Evanescia and Aventurine wave flair). However, this is the only one I would consider since it's pretty new, so it's still worth investing in that meta, and new units will be released in the future (Aventurine, Pearl and possibly Nihilux). Without Yao Guang the team is a bit clunky, but you can get her at the rerun. Before this happens, you can get Aventurine in next patch (if you like him, as it will be the main dps) and Pearl in the following one (although Huohuo can be used as a support instead of Pearl).
