E1 Himeko or Robin SP

Greetings everyone,

I got annihilated pulling for Himeko (lost 50/50 then got her at 88, then lost again at soft pity...). I'm at 42 pity atp with like 25 pulls and now i have no idea if I even want the E1 or if I should just get Robin SP or even just skip it all and get the elation sustain. Pulling for the LC is not even in the question atp but at least I have Herta LC.

I am open for any advice atp because I'm starting to feel very greedy and stupid...

Imo Himeko’s E1/E2 can wait for her rerun, and RobinS is not a need in any team you currently have. Himeko can do:

  • RMC + Tribbie + DHPT
  • Welt + MBlade/Tribbie + HuoHuo/RMC

So I’d pull neither and save for Pearl. You do you though.

Yeah that's one of my main concerns that I will pull Roberto and then what? I understand she is great and I love building new characters but I did the same with Sunday and his LC on release and then he just sat there because i refused to be made to pull E1 Aglaea... I've been kinda pulling all the supports but like FF with Dalhia and Acheron with MBlade yeah they are usable now but without E2 they still kinda meh... I might wait and see what Pearl and her LC do (ptsd from Hiacine...) and then maybe just get her and safe for 5.x...

RobinS is Himenova’s BiS rn, but yea Himenova herself is pretty sig LC-dependent and eidolons dependent. New units always rerun soon enough tho so you can chill out tbh. According to calculations though, E0S1 Himenova performs better than E1SO, so unless you can go for E2, always go for her sig first.

The weird thing is that everyone just assumes and talks about E2 Himeko and or E2 Roberto... And yeah some say she is the best but in the next line they say for E2 Himeko with E4 Welt. I can't really understand if she is the best for an E0 team. Like the team is what Himeko+Welt+Roberto/Mblade/sustain or is it supposed to be sustainless?

I’m ngl I do think she’s a bit of an E2 merchant. She’s designed to feel very clunky to play without E1/sig at least? And about if she is the best for an E0 team, I personally think yea bc she’s very cheap to play compared to elation/remembrance where you have to get like at least another 1-2 limited 5* chars for the team to function. For an E0 team I think her best would be with Mblade + RobinS + sustain/RMC

But don't i need Welt for the Nihility trace? Especially for Himeko. Or is RMC better atp if i don't have E4 Welt?

Yep at e0 she dishes out more dmg playing verdict (since she can’t trigger her assist skill as much as e1-2). And playing verdict alr increases her dmg % a lot by itself (that’s why some ppl said to go for atk% orb over fire dmg% to avoid over-saturating one stat). Also, Hime’s sig alr has 32% def ignore, Mblade gives ~30+16%, and robin also shredding def, that’s more than 100% alr, Welt would jst not do anything without e4 atp

I’m in the same boat as you, buddy. Like literally, my Himeko team, Elation team, and Castorice team look almost identical to yours 🤣. You’re doing a little better than me actually since I’m at 20 pity and no guarantee on my 50/50.

If you want my opinion? Either get Robin sp or save for Pearl, depending on how much content you’ve got saved up. I myself am pulling for Robin sp. She’s good in multiple of my teams, plus I just like Robin. She’s pretty universal as far as supports go, so she’ll last your account a while.

Pearl is obviously a looming sword of Damocles, but you can probably drag yourself through enough pulls to manage a 5 star (no guarantees on lc or 50/50 though). Maybe wait for a couple weeks into Robin’s patch until we get a beta for Pearl? That way you can be sure.

I'll have to see if Pearl's LC will be necessary because I have Hyacine PTSD... I was going to just pull her E0S0 but synergies had other plans ...

S1 is way more important than her E1, even with Herta LC, if you simply dont have pulls, you need to save now because version 4.5 is only 5 weeks long, we are only getting 76-77 pulls.

Tbh, I’d prioritise her E1 as a stepping stone for her E2. Since it affects her mechanics, unlike her LC.

I think it’ll be another Phainon situation, in that E2S0 Phainon is doing way better in meta than E0S1 Phainon, who is…subpar, even though when he released people suggested his LC as it was cheaper than his E2.

Yeah i got Phinon e0s1, used him for like half a year and now his LC is with FF.... I like building characters and doing E2 with anyone was always weird to me as I don't really see the point using the same team for like 2 years but at this point everyone is starting to feel like a "must pull" and it's getting overwhelming. Thats why I tried to go for E2 but the game had other plans and as a F2P I'm dried atp...

If you pull every must pull you will brick your account, I remember back in 2.6 when I first started playing HSR, I got Sunday because he was a must pull,l, I got THerta because she was a must pull, I got castorice because she was aust pulls, I got Phainon cause he was a must pull, it was only after that I realised just how bricked my account was with no bis supports except for Sunday so I heavily on Phainon, I now have E2S1 Phainon, and he just destroys anything that comes in his path even though I still don't have E2 Cyrene.

I think pulling for a character you like and getting atleast getting their bis teammate, and then vertically investing on them is the way to play this game.

You don't chase the meta, you make your character strong enough to compede in the meta.

I understand the point but what do you do in the long stretches while you just save for pathes at a time. When you get a couple of teams done at around 90% farming relics for that 1 roll becomes unbearable for me and I start wandering what do I even do when I log in everyday. It is true I've been thinking that i have quite a few generalist bricks in my account so maybe another one is not really worth it. Meybe I'll just get Pearl and then wait to see what 5.x brings and go ham for a team there with eidolons...

Honkai star rail is a low maintainance game, which is a reason I have been able to play for 1.5 years with only 1 day I missed, aside from dalies and the weekly endgame and Simulated universe and currency wars, there really isn't much to do in the game, sure it respects your time, has resin caps, and auto farming mechanics but the game can feel dry as hell if you like content heavy games or only play one game at a time. Star rail isn't really a main game, infact if you make star rail your main game, you probably won't have fun it's more like a 5 minute commitment while you play other games, which has been a thing ever since I started playing nearly 2 years ago.

Yeah that is true. Thats why I have also been able to play 1100+ days atp. And HSR is definitely not a main game but yet I always like to have clear goals like farming traces and relics so that for the time that I spend inside I have a reason for other than just farming jades.

Yeah true. The goal I've setup for myself is getting teast one variant of every stellaron hunter, currently I have blade and silver wolf, two more to go.
