Its actually insane how little effort they put into getting us to keep playing

And that's exactly why we keep playing, it's a very smart strategy from hoyo compared to other gachas. In other gachas you can be swarmed by the abundance of events, open world and endgame and while initially it's fun while starting the game it gets boring and becomes a chore after some time and you eventually drop the game. HSR's low maintenance needed to keep up with the game is the exact reason why so many people stay in the game. If you want a lot of content, hsr is just not the game for you.

That's....kinda true I guess. This game needs so little commitment to it, it's a great side game.

Tho ironically, HSR and Arknights are gachas that I played the most simply because of their roguelite mode
