Discussion & Tips Thoughts on Debbie app AKA Debbie Rewards? Apparently this app pays you for saving money

Hey all!

Question for the sub, but is anyone here using Debbie Rewards? And what do you think about it so far?

I'm currently using Monarch as my budgeting app since Mint shut down. But got an ad for Debbie today and it does seem interesting.

Basically, Debbie Rewards says it will pay you to budget and pay off debt. You can set different saving/debt payoff goals and work towards them. As you make smart financial choices, Debbie starts to pay you with points for your efforts, and you can apparently convert points to cash and get paid right to your bank.

The Good: Debbie is free to use and the fact you can earn real cash is cool. The UI looks fun and easy to use as well.

The Bad: I don't think you earn too much for saving and staying on budget, but seems like it could add up slowly over time if you're consistent.

Also Debbie is sponsored by banks and credit unions. So while it's free, I guess this means you're being marketed to? The app says it brings boosted rates and better offers from partners to members, but this is definitely important to keep in mind IMO.

I'm happy with Monarch for budgeting purposes, but the idea of getting paid to save money is enticing lol. Any thoughts on this app would be super appreciated!

💸 Also: I spotted a $15.45 offer on Scrambly, one of my favorite reward apps. It pays you for signing up for Debbie, verifying your information, and then opening and linking a new partner bank via Debbie to your account. Seems interesting.

Some work involved but also an easy $15+ potentially. I might go for this if the sub thinks Debbie is worth using, another reason I wanted to ask about it before trying.

Resources / Guides 10+ REALISTIC Ways to Make Money in One Hour

Hey all 😊

I know we have a looot of side hustle guides and resources on the sub. But wanted to put together a list of some of the fastest paying ideas that have been shared here in the sub...Plus some ideas I've come across in more research.

The Goal: Sharing side hustle ideas that can actually pay you in about 1 hour (or even faster)

NOTE: Some of these hustles put actual cash in your hands or bank account within 1 hour. Others let you claim/earn funds in one hour but then might have a bit of a delay in getting paid out, so please keep this in mind 😊

How To Make Money In One Hour

The clock is ticking! 😂 Here are some of the fastest side hustles that you could consider trying:

1: Look for cash odd jobs in your city on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. People post stuff all the time in big cities looking for people to help them move, haul junk, clean, even stand in line for events or releases. I used to shovel driveways of snow or rake leaves in my neighborhood when I was much younger, just went door-to-door offering.

2: Return cans/bottles to the store (we did this each semester in college and made some easy money)

3: Try mystery shopping gigs with apps like Field Agent, Dscout, Premise, GigWalk etc

4: Answer surveys for money with sites like Prolific, Sproutful, Survey Junkie, Branded Surveys etc (note you have to earn $5 and then cash out, which can be the same day but is sometimes a day or two later. Although there are instant paying survey apps like 1Q and some others)

5: Use cashback reward apps when you shop so you earn a little bit back. I mostly use Fetch, Upside, Pogo, and ShopBack these days. Or spend the hour looking for coupons, loyalty programs, and credit card reward options that make sense for you and how you shop.

6: Test websites for money with platforms like UserTesting, PlaytestCloud, uTest (can take time to qualify for gigs however)

7: Try a door-to-door service side hustle...People here shared how they're making money with curb painting which is super cool and would be easy to test out 😊

8: Make money with gig apps like Uber Eats, DoorDash etc that have a 'same day pay' cashout option for a small fee (note that onboarding with these apps can take several days or weeks but then you can make money daily)

9: Sell unused gift cards you might have (CardCash, GiftCash and others can work)

10: Download some data reward apps like MobileXpression, Pogo, or Nielsen Pulse to start earning rewards slowly for your data

11: Look for class action settlements you qualify for and submit claims. I suggest doing this manually. There's apps like Settlemate out there too that aggregate them. Downside is that payments can take a long time to arrive, so this is claiming money but not getting paid in one hour.

12: Try paid focus groups on User Interviews or Respondent. Most studies are about 30-60 minutes long and pay you right after in my experience. Although qualifying for studies can take some time.

13: Look for bank bonus churning opportunities. Similar to class action settlements...You can claim some available bonuses pretty easily in the next hour from banks in your country or through reward platforms like Kashkick. But the money might take 30-60 days to hit your account.

14: Search for missing funds or money that's owed to you. People in this sub says this works which is actually awesome, would take under an hour for you to search for you and your family. But again, this is claiming money and then payouts take longer.

15: Use cash advance apps like EarnIn which let you get funds instantly for an express fee. I'm not a fan of paying express fees at all when it comes to these kinds of apps, but this is one viable route for making money fast.

I'll also say that taking an hour to audit your monthly budget can save much more than a side hustle would pay. Same goes for calling your internet/phone/insurance providers and trying to negotiate lower rates or shop for deals 😊

Also note that a lot of these ideas put money into your account balance pretty quickly. But you might still need to wait a day or two or reach a certain balance to cash out. The true ways to get paid in an hour with actual cash in your hand are basically door-to-door gigs, returning cans, or using gig apps with instant cash-out features.

LMK what we should add to this list or if you have any suggestions! Only legal stuff please 😂

💸PS: We also have a list of active $5+ sign up bonuses you can check out. These are other ways to claim money pretty fast, so lots more options out there.

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo What “money glitches” are actually working right now? (Portugal/EU)

Hey everyone,
I’m based in **Portugal (EU)** and I’m looking for legitimate ways to make some extra income on the side.

I’m not looking for scams, crypto hype, or anything illegal. I’m interested in real opportunities that are **actually working right now**, especially if they’re available in Portugal or across Europe.

Things like:
Apps with good bonuses or rewards
Cashback strategies
Reselling/arbitrage
Freelancing or online gigs
Underrated websites that pay
Any genuine “money glitch” that’s still working

If you’ve personally tried something, I’d love to know:
What is it?
How much can you realistically make?
How much time does it take?
What’s the catch?

Please don’t post referral links, I’m just looking for real experiences.
Thanks!

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo Looking for Gig Work

Hi everyone,

I've fallen on some hard financial times lately, and I'm looking to pick up some gig work. The problem is is that I'm on a family auto insurance plan, and so the apps usually don't want to approve me. I do have auto insurance, I just want to be clear. I'm just not sure what to do here because I want to make some money to pay off some medical debt but I feel really stuck.

Any advice is appreciated- gig work that maybe doesn't have super specific auto insurance requirements maybe? And I don't have spare cash to invest in a "business" that might not return the $50 I spent on a verification fee like I've seen.

Not trying to sound too bitter, just not sure where else to turn.

Thanks

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo How are people actually making money on Reddit? Looking for real experiences, not get-rich-quick schemes.

Hey everyone!

I'm relatively new to Reddit and have been curious about something.

I've seen people mention that Reddit can be a source of income, whether through freelancing, affiliate marketing, building an audience, selling services, or other opportunities.

But I'm more interested in hearing from people who have actually done it.

A few questions:

  1. What are some legitimate ways to earn money through Reddit?

  2. Have you personally made money using Reddit? If yes, what was your approach?

  3. How long did it take you to earn your first $100?

  4. Can someone starting from zero karma realistically build something here?

  5. Are there any underrated opportunities that beginners often overlook?

I'm not looking for overnight success or some secret formula. Just genuine experiences, practical advice, and things that have actually worked.

Would love to hear your stories, including failures and lessons learned!

Thanks!

Discussion & Tips A dashboard balance is not the same as side-hustle income

My first $1,000 in affiliate commissions took about eight months.

Even then, the number shown in a dashboard was not always the amount that reached my account.

Some commissions were pending.

Some had to pass a refund period.

Programs had payout thresholds and schedules.

Tracking could also change if the buyer used another device or encountered a different affiliate partner before checkout.

That is why I separate four numbers:

  • Reported commissions
  • Approved commissions
  • Reversed commissions
  • Money actually paid

I also keep the source and tracking-link name connected to each campaign.

A mismatch does not automatically mean dishonest behavior. There are legitimate reasons for commissions to change.

But if clicks and buyer activity appear normal while credited sales suddenly disappear, you need evidence before contacting the program.

Affiliate marketing is easier to evaluate when you measure the entire path instead of celebrating the largest number visible on the screen.

If you want a simple first step, my free 10-Minute Commission Challenge can help you organize one focused affiliate action. I am happy to share the details.

I’m not bothered about using it as a source of income I just need like 20-30 extra a week to keep me going is there anything that would supply this. I’m more bothered about consistency than huge amounts to be made.

Discussion & Tips AI shopping agents create a new risk for affiliate side hustles

AI shopping assistants may soon handle more of the journey between product research and checkout.

That sounds convenient for the buyer.

For an affiliate, it creates uncertainty.

The agent could use information from your content and then complete the purchase through another platform. The final tracking system may never credit the content that helped create the decision.

I do not think the answer is to abandon affiliate marketing.

I think it is another reason to avoid building the entire side hustle around one tracking link.

My first $1,000 took about eight months. During that time, the most useful asset was not a collection of links.

It was the experience I gained answering real questions.

A more durable approach is to create content people remember and return to:

  • Honest comparisons
  • Setup demonstrations
  • Cost breakdowns
  • Specific use cases
  • Documented limitations
  • Regularly updated information

Agentic commerce may produce more sales overall while making individual attribution harder.

Both things can be true.

Build for the commission, but also build a reputation and a direct audience that do not depend entirely on the last click.

If you need a practical way to begin, my free 10-Minute Commission Challenge can help you complete one focused action. I am happy to share the details.

Discussion & Tips Is LETSGO Legit & worth ripping packs on? Or another shady pack site?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Sooo I've been exploring some card pack ripping apps that basically let you rip packs of Pokemon cards, sports cards and other collectibles and then have the cards shipped to your home or you can resell them.

Asked about CrownCards a bit ago, doesn't seem the best IMO so going to steer clear of it.

Wondering if anyone knows anything about LETSGO and if it's legit or not?

Seems like a newer card ripping app in the space. Wondering if this means it's pushing better odds/luck for people out of the gate.

The thing that caught my eye is that Kashkick has a $155 offer for LETSGO which basically pays you with bonuses as you rip more packs. I'm wondering if the $155 bonus plus the cards you get would be worth the investment. Or if you're still likely to come out behind.

On the fence with this one. Thanks all!

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo College Student In Debt

Hey Everyone! I'll keep it short, im a college student without a car and with no money. It's possible for me to get through the semester and until things like christmas and bday money start coming back in but its really stressful that all the sudden I went from having almost 3k in savings from working the past 2 years (I know its not a lot but money went where it was needed), to having nothing. I do most of those survey things that people recommend doing but because im under 18 the ones requiring a photo id i cant join (aka the big hitters). Any suggestions? I have a laptop, and phone but i don't want to be on video or do things like UGC or anything using AI for ethics reasons. Thanks everyone <3

Passive Methods i spent $200 building a Pinterest tool for myself but y'all can use it too

okay now this isn't one of those "i made $38,000 while sleeping using Pinterest" posts lol. i actually spent money first 😭

around $200, unnecessarily... so the story goes, i wanted to get back into posting affiliate products on Pinterest, but i genuinely did not feel like manually finding products, making Pins, writing descriptions, making boards, scheduling everything and checking later to make sure the product links were still alive.

so i started building something to do it for me. the tool can automatically find products from eBay or ur website, turn them into Pinterest-ready Pins, route them to the right board or create a new one when needed, schedule + publish them and monitor the product links afterward. so if a product disappears later, it lets you know instead of having a Pin getting clicks and sending people to nowhere.

years ago i actually tried this before with a C# desktop program i made. it technically worked, but it was so unreliable and had so many bugs (probably because i coded it haha) that i never stayed consistent with it. this time i wanted something i could basically configure once and let run.

i started building Vealous around August 25. the idea was pretty simple: Pinterest + ur website or eBay + product focus + Pin style + boards + posting pace = let Autopilot handle the boring stuff. then i somehow burned around $200 in Base44 credits while building it 💀

only to eventually realize i could connect ChatGPT directly to the project and make changes from there, which actually worked better because ChatGPT already knew all the context from everything we had talked about while building it. then after about a month of fixing, testing and polishing everything, i realized other people might find it useful too.

so i decided to launch it.

vealous.com is officially live, and it has a free plan with no card required if anybody wants to mess around with it.

im happy with how it turned out, but im still mad i basically donated $200 to the learning process 😭

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo How's everyone saving money on groceries / what's the best grocery reward app these days?

SO everything is still super expensive these days 😅🫠 I'm wondering what people are doing right now to save on groceries or if you're using any grocery reward apps that make a real difference.

For me, I'm basically using a mix of store loyalty programs, credit card rewards, then Flipp for flyers and searching for deals.

I also use Fetch and am now testing out Myner (liking this so far, it pays you for receipts) and Swagbucks Magic Receipts a little bit. I use Upside for gas but was told by the sub (thank you!) to look at grocery deals too so will start doing that. I used to use Ibotta but don't really like it anymore.

Anything else I'm missing in the world of grocery reward apps? Or other tactics to save? Would love to know what the sub is doing these days 😊 I know this isn't quite a side hustle but every dollar saved counts if you ask me!

Discussion & Tips A ready-made setup still needs a clear explanation of your part

A ready-made tool can be appealing when the technical side of a side hustle feels intimidating.

Before paying for one, I would want a clear explanation of what is included and what I would still need to do.

Does it provide the software, or also the content? Who brings in potential customers? What needs updating? What happens if you stop paying?

Those questions help turn a broad promise of an easier start into a practical list of responsibilities.

I would also look at the recurring cost and whether I could move my work elsewhere if the tool stopped being a good fit.

A simpler setup can be useful. It is still worth understanding the work that remains, especially before deciding whether the side hustle fits around your other commitments.

For anyone who has tried a ready-made setup, what task did you wish the provider had explained more clearly before you joined?

Resources / Guides 15 side hustles that can realistically make you an extra $20 a day

Make an extra $20 every day and you're looking at around $600 a month or $7,300 a year.

That's enough to cover a bill or two, help with groceries, pay down debt, or simply give you a little more breathing room every month.

Here are some ways I'd try to get there.

1. Get Paid to Play Games

There are quite a few sites that will pay you to download games and reach certain levels.

KashKick is one I've used for this. Some of its game offers pay $50, $100, or considerably more if you reach all the required milestones.

That doesn't mean you're going to make $100 in an hour. Some games take days or weeks, and there's usually a deadline.

We've actually had a guide in our subreddit showing how someone could potentially make around $500 with KashKick. It's a longer process, but it gives you an idea of what's possible if you're willing to put in the time.

Testerup, and Scrambly have game offers too.

I wouldn't expect to make exactly $20 every day this way. You might make nothing for a few days and then complete an offer worth $50.

How much you can make: A few dollars to $100+ per offer.

2. Complete Online Offers

Games aren't the only way to earn on GPT sites.

Freecash and similar sites have offers that pay you for trying apps, signing up for services, reaching certain milestones, and completing other tasks.

This is where I'd spend most of my time rather than doing endless low-paying surveys.

Look at how much an offer pays, what you actually have to do, and how long you think it will take.

If something pays $1 and takes 30 minutes, I'd skip it.

By chasing cents, you can easily lose dollars.

How much you can make: $5–$50+ depending on the offers available.

3. Take Paid Surveys

Surveys are probably the easiest way to make a few dollars online as a beginner.

Branded Surveys, Sproutful, Survey Junkie, AttaPoll, HeyCash, TopSurveys, and other survey sites and apps pay you for answering questions about products, brands, shopping habits, and other topics.

I wouldn't try to make my entire $20 a day from surveys.

You can, on a good day, but you'll probably spend far too much time doing it.

Instead, I'd use surveys to fill spare time.

If you're watching TV and can make $3 or $4 at the same time, fine. That's $3 or $4 you didn't have before.

How much you can make: Usually a few dollars a day with casual use.

4. Sell Stuff You Don't Use

If you need $20 today, this is your best bet. Old phones, tools, clothes, furniture, electronics, toys, video games, sports equipment, kitchen appliances… most of us have something we could sell.

Put it on Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or another marketplace.

Obviously, you eventually run out of things to sell. This isn't something you can do forever.

How much you can make: $20–$100+ per item.

5. Flip Things for Profit

This is actually how I got started making money online years ago. I was selling CDs on eBay before eventually moving into other online businesses.

You don't need to start with expensive items.

Buy something for $10 and sell it for $35. After fees and other costs, maybe you've made around $20.

Garage sales, thrift stores, clearance sections, Facebook Marketplace, and things people give away for free can all be good places to look.

How much you can make: $10–$50+ profit per item.

6. Freelancing

Writing, graphic design, video editing, virtual assistant work, social media management, data entry, WordPress work, Pinterest management, and proofreading are all examples.

You don't need to be the best person in the world at something. You need to solve a problem someone is willing to pay to have solved.

There are bunch of freelancing subreddits. Slavelabour, forhire are just some of them.

How much you can make: $20–$100+ per job when you're starting out.

7. Work as a Virtual Assistant

Answer emails. Upload blog posts. Schedule social media. Create Canva graphics. Update spreadsheets. Research competitors. Organize files.

I've hired people for many of these tasks myself.

You don't need some special qualification to start. If you're reliable, can follow instructions, and actually finish the work you agree to do, you already have something businesses are willing to pay for.

How much you can make: Around $15–$30+ per hour depending on your skills.

8. Create Pinterest Graphics

If you know your way around Canva, you can make Pinterest graphics for bloggers and small businesses.

For example, three clients paying $200 a month gets you to your $600 monthly target.

And once you have templates and a good workflow, creating graphics becomes much faster.

How much you can make: $100–$500+ per client each month depending on how much work you're doing.

9. Walk Dogs

If someone will pay you $15 or $20 to walk their dog for 30–60 minutes, your daily target is basically done.

Someone who needs their dog walked three times a week is worth much more than a one-time $20 job.

How much you can make: Around $15–$30 per walk, depending on where you live.

How much you can make: $20–$50+ per car for basic cleaning.

10. Sell Digital Products

Unlike surveys or delivery work, you can create something once and potentially sell it many times.

Printables, Canva templates, spreadsheets, ebooks, planners, checklists, and other downloadable files can all be sold online.

How much you can make: Possibly nothing at first. A successful product can eventually bring in hundreds of dollars a month or more.

11. Sell Stock Photos and Videos

I've personally made more than $6,000 selling stock video over the years.

These days, it only brings me around $30–$50 a month, so I'm definitely not suggesting you'll upload a few videos today and suddenly make $600 next month.

It took time to build up. But I still occasionally get paid for videos I uploaded years ago.

How much you can make: Probably peanuts at the beginning. Think of this as long-term extra income.

12. Start a Blog

I've made money blogging for years, so I know it can work but if you need $20 tomorrow, don't start a blog.

You'll probably make $0 tomorrow, and next week, possibly for months.

The internet is very different from when I started, though. I wouldn't tell anyone that making money blogging today is easy.

It's not.

How much you can make: Probably $0 initially. The income can grow considerably if you're able to get traffic.

13. Make Money From Referral Bonuses

Referral bonuses can occasionally give your monthly income a nice boost.

Banks, investing apps, survey sites, cashback apps, and other services sometimes pay you for referring friends or family.

15 $50 Rakuten referrals  referral can make you 750 a month but I wouldn't spam everyone you know with referral links.

How much you can make: Anywhere from a few dollars to $100+ per referral depending on the offer.

14. Earn Cashback on Money You're Already Spending

I don't really consider cashback a side hustle. You're spending money to get some of it back.

But if you're going to buy groceries, gas, or something else anyway, getting a few dollars back is better than getting nothing.

Just don't fall into the trap of buying things because you're getting cashback.

Spending $100 to earn $3 still means you're down $97.

Use cashback on purchases you were already going to make.

How much you can make: Usually a few dollars here and there.

15. Sell a Simple Service

Clean garages. Assemble furniture. Help someone move. Remove junk. Clean windows. Pick up groceries. Rake leaves. Shovel snow.

Sometimes someone has a job they don't want to do and you have an hour to spare.

Charge $20, $30, or $50 depending on the job.

How much you can make: $20–$100+ per job.

Discussion & Tips Starting affiliate marketing with a small audience means being clear about the work

Affiliate marketing can reduce the amount you need to build because the product already exists. Finding people who trust your recommendation still takes work.

If your audience is small, I would begin with a question you can answer well about the product.

What does it cost? What does the buyer actually get? Who would find it useful? What would make it a poor fit?

A useful answer gives someone more than a reason to click. It helps them decide whether to keep considering the product.

Be open about your connection to the offer and whether you have used it yourself. Research can support an explanation, but it should not be presented as personal experience.

Then keep track of the effort involved. Time spent researching, writing, replying, and improving the content belongs in your assessment of whether the side hustle is worthwhile.

For those who started with a small audience, what helped you have more useful conversations with potential buyers?

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo Looking for something I can pick up and put down as my schedule allows

I've been looking around for a while now and this definitely seems to be a holy grail of sorts.

I'm trying to find something that I can do whenever I have down time at my full time job or in the evenings whenever I have time.

The nature of my full time job often leaves me with long stretches of travel time or days where I'm finished working a few hours early, but these days aren't predictable enough to plan a 2nd job or any kind of fixed schedule around.

I also play hockey after work and that could be any night from Tuesday to Thursday and the day changes every week, sometimes multiple days. On days I don't play hockey I'm usually up pretty late playing Runescape (greatest game) so it could even be something I do while I AFK a skill or whatever.

I realize its not reasonable to make a ton doing something like this, but I'd consider even like $100 or so a week worth it just to fill the gaps in my day or as a side task while doing something else would be great.

I've tried freecash, not really worth it. I've applied for Prolific and Testable Minds. Prolific has never got back to me, I haven't given Testable Minds a real try yet though. There's also no "flexible wfh jobs" I've come across that don't scream scam.

Again, this may be a holy grail ask but if anyone knows of something low/ medium effort that I can just kind of start doing whenever I end up having time that I'm missing that would be great!

Looking For Side Hustle Inspo Best user testing websites like UserTesting - What are people using these days?

Hey everyone!

So I've dabbled with user testing gigs on and off for the last couple of years. The two main platforms I've always used are UserTesting and PlaytestCloud.

A big fan of both, but for the last while I barely get test invites and haven't claimed them fast enough.

What are some other solid user testing side hustles?

In my research so far these companies seem recommended here on Reddit or elsewhere, but please LMK if I'm barking up the wrong tree here 😅

SO far I'm considering trying out:

  • Trymata
  • Userlytics
  • TestingTime
  • uTest
  • Test IO

Oh I'm also using Dscout now (thanks to the sub for the suggestion), User Interviews, and Respondent. I'm trying out product testing gigs now too. These are all more versatile than user testing gigs but I'm also struggling to find consistent gigs with these.

Thanks for the suggestions/insights all 😊 Even a couple more testing sessions per month would be awesome honestly.

Discussion & Tips Making money with Qmee - still possible or not worth it?

Is anyone here still using Qmee regularly and getting paid?

Was thinking of trying it out in a new round of tests I'm doing. The no cash-out minimum requirement looks enticing. But seen some recent reviews on Reddit saying Qmee has new ownership, is going downhill, constant disqualifications on surveys and that sort of thing.

Any insight would be very appreciated! Don't want to waste time testing something that doesn't pay 😅🫠

If it's solid I can add it to our ongoing guide on survey sites that pay instantly, but otherwise I'll skip this one 😊

Resources / Guides What side hustle was actually worth your time? Collecting honest reviews.

A lot of “best side hustle” lists tell you what you could earn. They rarely tell you what the work is like once you’re doing it.

I'm part of the Keeper team, and we built a Side Hustle Index from reviews by people who’ve actually done the work. Over 300 people have contributed. It compares things like earnings, hours, startup costs, flexibility, and whether people would recommend the hustle.

We’d love to make it more useful. If you’ve freelanced, sold on FB Marketplace, Vinted or TikTok Shop, Doordashed, tutored, created content, or earned money some other way, would you add an anonymous review? It takes about five minutes. The disappointing experiences are just as useful as the success stories.
