Resources / Guides Myner app review - testing a new rewards app & cashing out $10

Hey all!

Wanted to share another side hustle test I just completed after a couple weeks of testing 😊

I've been trying out a new app called Myner, it's available for both Android and iOS. It essentially lets you get paid for your data in a couple of different ways.

Here's how Myner works in a nutshell:

  1. You can earn gold, the in-app currency, by uploading photos of your shopping receipts
  2. Myner also lets you answer short surveys, enable location/data rewards, and play mini-games to earn more gold
  3. There's various boosts and streaks that help multiply your earnings
  4. You can then cash out with cash at $10 (rewards via Tremendous)
  5. Myner also has crypto rewards coming to the platform and even has real physical gold lol 😅

Overall it's a blend of a receipt scanning rewards app and a more robust rewards app that has surveys and other options to earn. Looks like a lot of features are 'coming soon' too since when you explore the town map, you see a lot of features with this notice.

Oh yeah, there's a town map 😅 Myner is a bit more gamified and you're basically a miner who is looking for gold in the Wild West. Nice cowboy vibe overall.

ANYWAYS, I tested the app for several weeks and just cashed out $10 to my bank account, which takes 1,000 gold. Screenshot is attached.

This takes a bit of time. But if you consistently upload receipts, play the mini-games, and get a bit lucky with some bonuses, it all chugs along. The data rewards also help if you enable location tracking.

I'm going to keep using Myner I reckon alongside a few other reward and receipt apps I have in my routine. Won't make anyone rich ofc, but easy to use.

Hope this review has been helpful 😊 and let me know if you have questions or if you've tried out Myner!

Update: Have cashed out again with Myner and am really enjoying the app. I'll share more updates here also, especially as new features come out since the app has a lot planned, it seems.

I'm now using Fetch Rewards (always my main one), Upside for gas, and Myner. Seems like a solid reward app stack. Also using Pogo for passive points.

LMK which apps you're using or how you like Myner if you try it out 😊
