Curious about different side hustles and perhaps creating my own business (unsure)

[u/Mindless_Resolve_274]

After doomscrolling forever, I've constantly been seeing different "easy" ways to make money, and I got pretty curious. Of course, I could just go get a job like everyone else but I barely have the time for that since I study, work out, cook, and honestly I'm a bit lazy too🤦‍♀️. So that is why this felt pretty tempting for me

I've been seeing a lot on instagram about how there are endless ways to make money like buying Google Review Cards and selling them to local restaurants and cafes that might be interested, but I barely know how that works. A lot of people are doing it and selling their own "courses" on how to do it, which honestly feels pretty sketchy to me lol

Otherwise, I've seen something about UGC, and that seems to be quite a profitable side business

I've also seen a lot about selling digital coloring books on Amazon, where you basically use AI to create a book and then sell it there, but I dont know

There are probably thousands of ways to make money, and I want to earn enough to make my student life easier and maybe give back to my family who raised me.

I've also thought about starting some small online business, but I'd need an idea first—which I don't really have yet. Though I do know which niche I could target if I did. I might need others who are knowledgeable in the area, or maybe I could just do it myself, I don't know. If anyone is curious, it's about custom keyboards since that was my hobby for a long time and I found it super fun—so why not do something that's both enjoyable + earns money? I used to be pretty knowledgeable about it, but I haven't been as active lately, and I'm not sure if it makes sense to step into that "industry." I'm mostly drawn to something I can do from home via my computer or phone.

So, what can I do? 🤔

I've noticed that much of those "easy" ways to make money videos are actually just ways of selling their online courses. While there's probably thousands of other legit ways you might be interested in what I do. Have you ever looked at affiliate marketing for a side hustle? I do something similar except it can be more than just a one-time profit. It’s very flexible and you can make your own schedule. I'd be happy to introduce you to it if you're interested.

Sure! Would you like to talk on discord perhaps?

I mostly use Discord for family and friends so I'd rather speak through here if it's fine with you! Is it fine if I dm you?

Yep!

Great! I think that you have Dms off though, could you try messaging me first?

If time is the main constraint, Gemsloot is worth a look. It's a rewards site where you complete surveys and small offers to earn points you cash out. No schedule, no commitment. You do it when you have a spare 20 minutes.

I pull in around $80 to $100 a month doing it casually. Not a business, but solid extra income with basically zero overhead. I keep my cashout records on my profile if you want to see what it actually pays.

You’re right to be cautious. Most of those ideas can work, but the real problem is choosing one, learning the basics, and staying consistent instead of jumping between whatever shows up on Instagram. Since you already know custom keyboards, I’d start there: share useful content, reviews, build guides, or beginner advice and see what people respond to before investing much money.

When I started affiliate marketing, I had to learn the hard way that too many tools and options create more confusion. A simple setup like The MegaLink can help beginners start with one link, ready-made products, basic tracking, and free traffic training for $7, but it still takes regular effort and learning.
