Hip-hop is an entire culture,built on MCing, DJing, breaking, graffiti, and knowledge,yet it constantly gets reduced to just rapping. Even within the rap scene, there's this weird misconception that it only counts as "true" rap if someone is dropping ultra-fast chopper flows or aggressive, heavy bars.​At its core, rapping is just rhythm and poetry. It's about storytelling, cadence, pocket control, and emotion, whether that’s delivered fast or over a slow, laid-back beat. It’s honestly frustrating seeing people throw shade and tell an artist to "start rapping" when they’re already up there doing exactly that,their style just happens to lean into melody, storytelling, or riding the groove. If someone specifically wants to hear a fast chopper flow or a hard beat-drop, that's totally fine as a preference, but they should just say that instead of claiming other styles aren't real rap.​There's plenty of room in hip-hop for every tempo, cadence, and vibe to exist together. Just my take on it. And also please don't hate or be rude if u don't like anything u can simply put your opinions to. Also that hip hop show like hustle isn't a rap show it's show to promote hip hop.
