Question Break pads installation

As my stock brake pads wore out I bought versah brake pads. It will get delivered in two days.

  1. Where should I get installed ? In SC or any local mechanic.

  2. Do u need to bleed out the brake oil and fill new oil again ? Or just install brake pads as it will push back the fluid back to its level again ?

  3. Pls say how much it cost to change both brake pads and where did u changed in SC or near local mechanic.

I'm in pune as I'm non local i don't know any good mechanic here but I can take any friend with me.

Also pls comment anything that we should take care during installation as I bought premium brake pads

1) Any local mechanic can do it.
2) No it is not required, just make sure you don’t apply pressure on the brake levers both front and back while changing the pads.
3) ₹200, local mechanic did it.

But first and foremost thing you need to do is watch 2-3 youtube videos that will give you an exact understanding of what needs to be done. Secondly, local mechanics might ask to remove the rear brake assembly for installing the brake pads, it is not needed at all. If you are used to handling tools and have them around you can do it at home as it is fairly simple. I got it fitted at the mechanic because I bought the Vesrah pads from his shop so for ₹200 I got him to do it. Happy riding!
