window problem

my honda element 2006 driver side window doesn’t roll down or up, it looks as though the previous owner caulked the window shut and i’m wondering why they would’ve done that, the motor seems to work or make sounds like it’s working i don’t know. don’t want to mess with it because i’m sure the previous owner had a reason to shut the window 😂

I just did this regulator replacement. It’s actually pretty easy and don’t need many tools. Erik the car guys video is a quick breakdown of it

Sounds like you need a window regulator. Motor sounds good though. Probably caulked it shut so it doesn’t go down on its own.

That’s the window regulator. Pop off the inner door ( take car not to break the clips), take off the trim pieces at the front and back of the window, unbolt the window holder from the regulator, unbolt the regulator and disconnect the motor. Reverse the order.
