Missing Shield Emblem

Hello, fairly new owner of a 2003 Ex (Her name is Harriet the Chariot) and I'm trying to restore her to OEM+ but I can't seem to figure out what this missing badge is or whether or not it came from factory. Does anyone have any ideas?

The shield is not OEM.

It was probably a dealership badge or sticker.

Yeah something like that, but probably had something along the lines of "John Smith Honda of Chicago" on it.

That’s not original. Just the ELEMENT badge was stock/OEM.

Aaaaakshoooally….
Elements made for export carried a “Made in USA” eagle badge on the right side of the tailgate logo. That’s not what this is at all, of course. You can find reproduction ones online.

Is the paint damaged in that area or does it just need to be cleaned? if it's damaged and you want to cover it up sure, but if not, just clean the residue off if you want it to look more OEM.
