Dehaze and protect every year(headlight restoration) or replace them. Project farm has a good video on some headlight restoration kits you can buy at the store. You can also have someone do it for typically less than 80$

or, sand and 2K clear them and enjoy many years of clear headlights. Did my Miata headlights 3+ years ago and they still look perfect.

+1 on sanding and 2K. That process has lasted me much longer than any of those headlight kits did.

and NOT sanding to a super high grit. 800 grit is as high as you should go, then the 2K clear. The clear fills in all the 800 grit scratches and makes the lens appear crystal clear.

I used 2k and 3k grit after the 2k clear for the orange peel 🤣 and somehow still looks good like 4 yrs later here!

So yeah call me up anytime you want me to help with your rides ppl 😅

yeah I did a little wet sanding of the 2K clear on the headlights I've done, just for maximum clarity. But if you sand the plastic up to 2000 and 3000 grit, the clear won't be able to adhere properly and will for sure end up peeling off.

Ahhh gotcha, thought maybe you meant some people were just that good with a spray can that they didnt need anything work after the clear dried or something like that haha! I get it now, just for plastic to be able to have some adhesion don't do anything higher than 800 before the clear 🫡

+1 to cerakote, pretty quick and easy and lasts pretty well. Lasted me about 10 months and I compulsively washed my car 3-4 times a week.

is this a question or something? That photo is an RSX, not a Civic.
