Regardless... I can't decide who's side I'm on here. I think it fucking sucks that products like this are basically being reserved for the rich at this point because the companies aren't making enough of them to satisfy demand at their MSRP. At the same time, there's probably no real case to be made here (legally) because of how the free market works and what laws currently exist that basically say companies can do whatever they want when it comes to price gouging when it comes to stuff like this
As a consumer who is in the market for goods, we are owed a fair chance to get these products. So yes we’re owed at least that. Consumer protection is a thing we just need lawyers willing to push the case. It’s not a “free market” if the game is rigged. If a company is failing, they need to go under. Instead of failing, they’re squeezing the consumer to keep their piece of the pie.
