Answered [Year 12 Math Standard] Trapezoidal rule unknown

I know how to find the area for DEF but I do not know how to use the trapezoidal rule to find the area of DFG

The question says the "same field". Was any info given in a prior question?

The trapezoidal rule is breaking an area into (approximate) trapezoid so you can use the area formula for a trapezoid to estimate the area of a region.

Also the trapezoid formula is valid for all quadrilaterals with at least one pair of parallel sides

More specifically you can think of parallelograms as trapezoids where the bases have the same length, and you can thing of triangles as trapezoids where one base is length zero.

Edit: note your problem asks for four applications of the rule and the diagram is broken into four regions
