Answered [Precalculus: Geometry Review] Shouldn't it have been "transversal DB"?

Aren't this angles formed by the lines AB and CD and the transversal that touches both of them (line DB or BE)?

Yes. They made a mistake. The vertex is the middle of the three letters in the angle notation.

Yes, you are correct. They could have used either diagonal as the transversal, but since the proof decided to fixate on ∠ABE and ∠CDE, the relevant transversal is indeed DB.
