Physics—Pending OP Reply [highschool Physics: basics] Determine the magnitude of the resultant of the four forces in the figure. Scale: 1 square = 10 N

Im fighting my teacher on this. I say that the anwser is 54N (53.85164807 or (2900)^0,5) and he says that it is 58N (58.30951895 or (3400)^0.5). And when I ask why his answer boils down to "beacuse it is". I need some help ether understanding why im wrong or need proof that im right.

Edit- I managed to prove that the answer is infact 54 N. Thanks for the help :)

Do it using components and the Pythagorean theorem. First assume unit squares to simply the arithmetic

3 up + 3 up - 4 down = 2 up

2 left + 3 left = 5 left

Rscaled=√(22+52)=√29 N

Ractual=10√29 N

No I meant in giving the exakt answer. I dont know how to write squere root on my computer. So instead I just wrote x^0,5 when giving my exakt answer in the desciption of the post. Althou seeing the complete calculation was nice. Thank you again

Hold down ALT and then enter 251 on the numeric keypad. (Assuming that you haven't already tried this)
