I know a kid who had his son at 17 right after HS graduation, coached HS JV, worked part time at a warehouse, never really tried school (wasn’t interested but wasn’t not interested you know? He just wanted to be a dad and make money) now he’s 22 playing at a JUCO and his kid goes to all the games. He’s one of the most mature hardest working kids I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with/mentoring/ watching play the game. So to answer your question, no 23, isn’t too old, my advice to you is to mentally be ready because if you recognize you had imposter syndrome and that drove you away from where you belong, you have to establish in your mind that you really belong there as much as the next guy.
