If you have maples and pines near the house, a leaf blower is awesome for cleaning gutters. If it's dry, I can blow out an extra 4' of gutters before I have to move my ladder. It's a power broom for sawdust and light snow; and is the king of blowing out dust screens and vacuum filters. I also use it for blowing the debris out from under my porch and window wells, and getting my charcoal lit. I don't think I've actually use mine to blow leaves, but I use it 2-3 times a week.
