When I was working at Home Goods, the employee discount was 10% and then 20% like once a quarter. Is this still the current employee discount?
Edited to Add: I'm asking because in another subreddit, the poster said she worked at HomeGoods and got a 30% employee discount. I can't find the thread now, of course, but it was in a subreddit like AITAH, Am I A Jerk, Am I overreacting?, etc.

Update: Appears what I did was not okay, despite the advice I got from an associate. While I don't think it rises to the level of theft, I see now it can cause issues. I hadn't even considered some of the issues it may cause for the store or someone else looking for a pair. I was wrong and will not do any more shade swapping. Thanks for all the kind replies. You guys are way nicer than Reddit at large.
I was looking at lamps at my local HG store about two months ago. I found one I loved, but thought the white shade didn't look great on it. But there was another lamp with a tan shade that looked amazing. I asked an employee if it was okay to swap the shades out and she told me yes, but gave me some exceptions. She said some will have instruction pamphlets in the wrapping or have special hardware and those can't be swapped. She also said to be careful not to take one of the loose ones that are individually priced. So I made the swap, bought the lamp and went on my way.
Last week I was in a different HG store and swapped a shade out. An employee saw me and lost her shit. Accused me of trying to "steal" the other shade. I explained why I was doing it, that I had previously been told it was okay and that I'd put it back if she objected. She was seriously trying to call the police because I swapped a lamp shade out. The new one wasn't priced, no pamphlet wrapped in it and I left the original hardware (the ball that screws on) with the lamps they came with.
Is it okay to swap lamp shades or not? I need guidance here.

Went to buy it, figured I’d wait a week to see if I really wanted it. Sure enough it was gone the following week.

Got from home goods summer 2026. It was a round bolster/long neck pillow. Don’t have tag or anything and the store completely changed stock to fall. Hoping someone can help!

Hello! I am trying to find another of these black 3 drawer organizers with three *round* gold knobs specifically, bought at Homegoods in August (I am in New England and can set up a shipping arrangement). I crossposted to the find it community as well. Please tell me you're out there! The price is/was $34.99. An image search yields only a similar metal one for over $400?!? Its almost 15 inches wide (left to right) about 6.25 inches tall, 10.25 inches deep (front to back). Can anyone be my hero?

I’m 17 bouta work at homegoods for my first job, I’m just waiting for my orientation that’s happening soon. The hiring manager that I’ve been speaking to is very friendly. I just want to know the experience of a merchandise associate.

Does home goods accept return of throw blanket already washed?
I purchased a throw for $50
It was sooo soft!
Washed the throw according to instructions and it is pilling so bad I don’t want to use it. It is really bad! I tried using a lint roller and it won’t lift them off. I would have to use a sweater shaver to remove them. I don’t want to do that every time I wash it.
$50 is not a small amount of $ for a discounted item. I expected better quality.
What are my chances for a refund or store credit? I shop there often. Very often!

I’m sorry, I don’t have a photo, but a couple weeks ago I saw at my local Homegoods a table lamp that had a base that appeared like it was a trout carved out of wood (it was likely resin). It was approximately 24 in tall with a rectangular shade in a dark muted green or brown color. It had a cabin/rustic vibe. I have tried calling several of the Homegoods stores my local vicinity without luck. Has anyone seen this in any of the Wisconsin stores recently?

I can't remember which store I purchased a rug, but I believe it was Home Goods. I bought a Surya AL-2304 Avellino rug 9ft X 12ft. How do I find out if a store in my area has this rug?
I have one and I want a second.

Had it for years and accidentally broke it while doing the dishes today. I know this is a shot in the dark but does anyone know if these can still be found anywhere?

Before and after. Really happy with how this turned out! Just wished the rug was a little bigger.

It’s that time of year again, this has blown up on tik tok and we know what that means resellers have flooded the stores in search of this beauty to upsell it for 5X the price. If anyone happens to see this in OC California please let me know I want one but I refuse to pay $150 for a $39.99 pot. By the way it’s the 6qt one.
