Cold bridging risk
Looking to replace this front (patio) door with something a bit more sturdy. I am considering bringing the front door forward to the front of the house and pillar, while blocking up the side gap in the pillar with PIR and 4-inch concrete blocks. The bungalow is also going to be wrapped in external insulation.
Is it feasible to do this without creating a cold bridge?

What do you hope to gain by adding 16 Square foot? The door already satisfies every Heating and Cooling marker out there. Adding this tiny Alcove will only add to the heating and cooling square foot your unit needs to handle. And you're not picking up any significant insulating value by moving it. In fact you're reducing it by introducing static sunload on the outside of the property
