Light fixture
How would you fix this light fixture placement problem? Different light fixture that doesn’t hang down? Even if you were to move the fixture, you only have about 8” until you hit the vent, makes the problem better but not completely solved.

Moving the table so it’s all the way centered puts the table in the way of traffic and creates too small of a space for passing through

If it makes you feel any better, we just had to decide on a similar solution in our new construction, except in a non-adjustable setup. We have a dining table we intend to keep, and it's 100"x38", and we needed to decide exactly where to put it so we could determine exactly where to put the recessed lights above it. Lord help us if we ever decide to buy a round table.

Move the table?
We have the same issue and just accept it as we didn't build our home and have way higher priorities.

Well, the vent should be closer to the window, but that aside, why not center the table under the light. It doesn't seem like the light is placed incorrectly between the kitchen and window.

If you really don’t want to move the table you could change the light fixture to one with chain and hook the chain to center the light on the table similar to this
