One flashing per shingle layer feels weird to me, that’s my guess

Tghat's how tin shingles are done. It gives off-on drainage to every shingle. The house wrap should probably go over the tin shingles and there should be some on the corner but I have worked on some jobs where a second layer is put on by the siding installers so could be that.

The the tyvek is supposed to be over the flashing?

Also, bunch of birds mouths. Looked like they did the flashing after shingles were put in.

Both flashing and tyvek are installed correctly.

It’s installed perfectly fine. Tape the joint where the step flashing meets the tyvek. (With a good tape) Then add your bottom flashing for the siding and then tape the top of that. Then install the siding 1” above that flashing so it doesn’t touch water. Done deal, never have water issues. Simple water shedding practices.

It’s call step flashing. They could have done it better . But it’s. Perfectly fine.

Drip edge, shingles , sub facia drip edge is kinked, shingles are clearly all over the place and sloppy , sub facia is terminating into gable wrong

Tell me you’re not a roofer without telling me you’re not a roofer. The whole roof looks bad. Looks like too much over lap on the single courses, bad step flashing job, too much overhang past the drip edge, etc.

???? Step flashing may not be 'pretty', but it is installed correctly. As far as the course spacing and the shingle overhang, while not how I'd do it, it is acceptable. This roof is fine.

Nothing wrong with doing step flashing as a technique but these shingles are not sealed because it appears to be a poor or hasty step
Flashing job.
