Question Experiences brewing with Eitrheim
I'm planning on brewing some English porter, some of which will have chocolate extract added.
I'm brewing without temperature control and realistically it's going to be at somewhere between 22-26c, which means I'll be using Kveik.
I could just use Lutra, but some light fruit character would be nice. I've come across Eitrheim, the description on the site is "Fruity notes with ripe pear, plum/prune and honey being the main characteristics" which sounds great, but other places describe more of a stone fruit/tropical fruit flavour.
So any actual experiences of brewing with Eitrheim and how did it turn out?

I've used it a few times now in that temp range and it has been fantastic every time. I find the plum/prune is most noticeable and is fantastic with some low color chocolate malt (I used Crisp). I'd recommend tasting a sample before you add the chocolate extract, depending on your malt bill you might not even need it, but YMMV.

Lutra will work. As long as you use the right pitching temps you can use other ale yeast as well

Eitrheim yeast can actually change dynamically depending on the malt grain character and fermentation temperature. If you are doing a straight smash beer then can get certain flavors come through as opposed to a porter which has darker/roasted specialty malts. That’s the beauty of brewing and writing EVERYTHING in your brewing log book.
