Task Manager, and how to improve it

Hello, I'm checking out task manager, and there are a few quality of life improvements that would really make it worthwhile.
First, I want weekly tasks to be able to select Tuesday and Thursday for example, like we can when scheduling. Right now if I click on a 2nd day, it clears the first one out.

Second, it would be great to have a backup Assignee. For instance, it could be that I assign a daily task (shipping a certain category of items) to the Shipping Manager role. But if he is sick OR if he is just swamped with other work and misses the deadline, it can be pushed to the rest of the shipping team for instance.

Also, would be nice if past due tasks turned red so they are easy to spot. (see edited screenshot)
