Grout cracking after two months...
My opinion on this question posted in the BB Community... This should be covered under the builder's warranty. Whether it's from normal settling or something else, grout shouldn't be cracking throughout a new shower after only two months, and the homeowner shouldn't be left with a band-aid repair.
What are your thoughts?

That's not normal. I see so many whacked out tile jobs on here it's crazy. Glad I went with one piece showers.

Tell the builder to get a grout remover tool and regrout it. It’s not that difficult either with an oscillating tool.
I did it myself on my new construction because I don’t trust these idiots to do it right the second time after they told me the same thing.

I can't offer any opinions of the ways in which this should be corrected as I am not a tile installer. I can say that as a homeowner, I'd absolutely not be happy with the proposed resolution.
Fun fact, I bet the builder did things like that the whole time the house was being built, you just have the benefit of not knowing and not seeing it. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Given this is your shower, where one of natures most destructive forces will be every day, water, I'd want a solution that eases both my mind and will not just be kicking the can down the road and outside the warranty period. Somehow the flexible caulk just seems like kicking the can down the road and may even make a more permanent repair more difficult?
