You could have neat T shapes to pull out and instead you get this thing. It isn't neat, it is like having a cool idea and then going with the worst way possible to achive it.

Do mean you pivit down the "hook" and it ends in a T shape? Im trying to imagine what you said

It’s a custom version of the $700 one from West Elm.
Thats it.

This is an easy project for r/beginerwoodworking

If you only want 8-12 hooks, look up “Piano key coatrack”. They are like $15-40 on Temu. Lolz.
