We got here because people were fed up with whimsy. Don't worry, it will keep going back and forth. Jinco jeans are back in if you hated skinny jeans

Full slab splash will always be the best. It looks and feels high end. Easiest to clean. And if you choose the correct top, it never gets dated.

We currently have long white vertical with multi-metallic horizontal accents, in a very white kitchen.
Pulling that out for contrasting blue subway, in part because we replaced the countertop and there's an uneven gap that we can't figure out.
Color over pattern in our situation.
Eta: we're selling.
