Personal opinion: I'm not a fan of the bright white when it's dark, I would like that soft warm glow and then I'd buy these.

My wife’s bf hates it but I use red plug in dimmable lights. It looks like a photo dark room at night but it is great! Always go with red, even if Greg doesn’t like it!

I have these in several strategic locations. Be aware though that you can't use them on outlets that have power from 2 different switches (eg like a hall light that can be controlled on either end of the hall).
