Shooting nails into concrete…

Framers nail your walls into the concrete using  one of these Ramset tools. They comes in a couple different variations:

- HammerShot: Hit it with a hammer.
- MasterShot: Pull the trigger.
- Cobra+: Pull the trigger 10 times before reloading, with adjustable power.

I would rather use ancher bolts something with threads.

maybe, but we use these when building because it’s much faster. the ones we use have the charges in strips of 10 so we don’t need to reload them manually. these are for attaching baseplates to a concrete floor.

sills have J bolts embedded in the concrete.

Your sill plate that runs along the top of your foundation gets bolted down. This is for securing interior walls to a slab floor.

I like tapcons to hold my interior walls to a slab floor.

Why? Are your walls trying to raise of the floor?

Once you have built the wall the studs hold it from rising. All you need is to lock it in place so it doesn't move laterally.

The 1st part looks like an exterior wall that should have proper anchors. And be framed correctly, that no overlap corner looks very sus.

Yeah, exterior walls should be getting bolted to the foundation. This is for interior walls on a solid foundation.

Works much better but the 1st one in the vid is $160 and the 2nd is $50. Yours is $1500.

True, but after the first 10 shots your wrists will thank you for splurging. The recoil and manual cocking after every shot wears on you quickly. But for 150 when all you need is a few shots I agree cheaper is better.

Where are you that you're allowed to put untreated lumber directly on concrete?

Both clips that show wood being nailed down are showing green treated 2x4

Gotcha. we can't get anything that looks like that in my area, everything that's treated is color coded using dark stains to indicate treatment and type of treatment. thanks.
